ITAL A100 First Year Italian I 3 crs.
This course covers the fundamentals of the Italian language with primary emphasis on listening comprehension, reading, speaking and writing.
ITAL A101 First Year Italian II 3 crs.
This course is a continuation of Italian A100. Students further develop their listening comprehension, reading, speaking and writing skills.
Prerequisite: ITAL A100 or placement
ITAL A200 Intermediate Italian I 3 crs.
This third-semester Italian course covers Italian grammar, vocabulary, and language structure at an intermediate level. All four language skills are practiced and advanced: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Supplemental reading and listening materials are used in conjunction with the text book.
Prerequisite: ITAL A101 or placement
ITAL A201 Intermediate Italian II 3 crs.
This course is designed to improve language ablity and to further students' knowledge of Italian life and culture. Students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and a greater understanding of Italian culture. By the end of the course, students should be able to give clear descriptions, express viewpoints on most general topics and topics related to his/her fields of interest in Italian.
Prerequisite: ITAL A200 or placement
